The second donation of this campaign was mailed to AFSP this week. That wraps up the donations for Fandom Rocks!

I will be closing the Paypal account this week. I will wait another week or so to make sure the check has had time to clear before closing the bank account. The domain expires on June 14, 2010, but I think I will renew it for another year or so for posterity. :)

Amazon is being a pain trying to close the associates account there, but I will keep trying. Other than that, I think we're done. *nods*

One down, one to go. I stopped by the local office for the American Cancer Society and dropped off the check in memory of Kim Manners. In theory, the Supernatural office will get a post card to let them know. :)


It's not a pretty picture, but all I had was my phone. Excuse my horrible scribbles. :)

The dissolution papers made it to the state, so all that is left is filing them with the county. That will probably be another $10 or $25 fee, all of which I have paid out of my pocket.

I went to the bank to make sure of our final balance, which was $3,337.93 USD. I added another $12.07 of my money to bring it to an even $3350.00 USD. This means each charity will receive $1675.00 USD!

I am going to see if I can make the donations online, but if not the checks will go in the mail, and the last step for the accounts will be to close Paypal and the bank account (after the checks clear). I will also make a note with our donation to the American Cancer Society that it is in memory/honor of Kim Manners. Cool?

Prize packs were mailed out yesterday. Sorry for the delay. Now all that is left is finishing the signatures on the dissolution paperwork, donating, and closing remaining accounts. Thanks for being a part of Fandom Rocks!

FYI: When I closed the Cafe Press store an $11 balance remained. Since this is below what they will send out in a check their solution was:

1. Spend it on their site.
OR
2. Request a check which may have a $5 processing fee.

Since the second option is the only one that gets the money to our charities and it would cut the donation amount roughly in half, I am going to make an $11 donation myself and use the Cafe Press balance on something on the site as long as that sounds good to you all.

Hello, Hello.

I bring happy and sad tidings. In just a few weeks, we will officially dissolve the non-profit corporation we created for Fandom Rocks. However, in that same time frame we will make our final donation to the charities you selected. So far, everyone out there has helped raise $3,000 USD. Can we add some on top of that to make the donations, say, an even $2,000 for each charity?


Check out all of the receipts from our auction! The auction was a huge part of the success of the fifth campaign.

To try to make that happen, we are offering that remaining auction items that were not won or paid for, plus a couple of DVDs a fan generously contributed to the cause.

For every $10 you donate between now and February 14, you will receive one entry in a random drawing to win your choice of the three sets of prizes pictured below.

• Donate $10 = 1 entry
  
• Donate $20 = 2 entries
  
• Donate $50 and we will give you an extra entry! $50 = 6 entries!

And so on. Thank you for your support for the last few years. I am very proud we lasted this long and came together as a fandom to help a number of charities.

If you hadn't guessed, we are extending Campaign Five into Season Five! This means we have all season to increase the donation we are going to make in honor of Kim Manners! (And to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.)

To do this, we need your help!
